Brian Tompkins |
Brian TompkinsBrian graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. During this time, he interned at Applied Materials in Austin. After completing his bachelor's degree in 1998, Brian worked for Hoechst-Celanese in their Bishop, Texas plant as a process engineer. Brian then returned to Austin to work for pcOrder.com and Trilogy Software. As a configuration engineer for pcOrder's enterprise configuration software, he supported customers in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. At Trilogy Software, Brian worked as a system engineer and was responsible for architecture design, installation, and maintenance of hosted software deployments for Trilogy's enterprise sales software. As a system engineer, Brian also implemented processes and testing strategies for various projects, including quality control, software deployment, and data update processes. In both of these positions, Brian was responsible for understanding a wide range of computer architectures, technologies, and programming languages. Brian also spent time as a contractor for Advanced Micro Devices, working on assembling and testing systems for prototypes of the Athlon processor. Before returning to law school, Brian worked at Planview as a senior support engineer for Planview's project management software. As a senior support engineer, he supported new and existing customers on Planview's database driven project management software and trained customers on project management methodologies. In 2003 Brian enrolled in the University of Texas School of Law. He graduated from law school in May 2006 with honors and passed the July 2006 Texas Bar exam. Brian joined Fletcher Yoder in the fall of 2006 after clerking with the firm the previous summer. |
