Matt Osterhaus |
Matt OsterhausMatt graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with a particular focus on electromagnetics. While attending Texas A&M, Matt was an inducted member in the Electrical Engineering Honor Society, Eta Kappa Nu, and an active member of the Student Engineers’ Council. Matt served as president of the Student Engineers’ Council in his senior year, and was subsequently awarded the Electrical Engineering Kennedy Scholarship and the W.D. Turner Engineering Leadership Award. Before attending the University of Houston Law Center in the fall of 2004, Matt was hired by J. Ray McDermott to assist with a bid proposal to build offshore oil facilities for Mexican national oil company, Pemex. Matt subsequently participated in the commissioning of the electrical systems of the Murphy Frontrunner Spar in Houma, Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico. Matt attended the University of Houston Law Center from 2004 to 2007. While in law school, Matt served as the president of the Intellectual Property Student Organization (IPSO), as president of the Federalist Society, and as a member the Environmental & Energy Law and Policy Journal (EELPJ). For his work with IPSO, Matt was awarded the thirteenth annual Carothers Prize for outstanding contribution to the profession of intellectual property law. Matt joined Fletcher Yoder in August 2007, after clerking for the firm during the summer of 2006 and the spring of 2007. The focus of his practice includes motor control systems and devices, computer hardware and software, semiconductor devices, and medical imaging systems and devices. |
