Kenneth Liu

Kenneth graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in August 2003, receiving a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. While pursuing this degree, he interned for both Texas Instruments (TI), working with TI’s information technology group in Dallas, Texas, and Advanced Micro Device (AMD), concentrating primarily on microprocessor characterization and soft defect localization for 64-bit Athlon and Opteron microprocessors. Kenneth later joined AMD as a product development engineer where he participated in all product development aspects of AMD's K8 dual-core microprocessors. In addition, Kenneth worked on development of techniques for improving soft defect localization at low voltages, and implemented production screens to improve overall package yield.

Kenneth later enrolled at the University of Houston Law Center and received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree in May 2007. During law school, Kenneth served as student editor-in-chief for the Consumer & Commercial Law Journal and was active in the Intellectual Property Student Organization. He also served as a research assistant to Professor Paul Janicke, assisting in analysis of patent litigation cases for www.patstats.org.

In his last semester of law school, Kenneth joined Fletcher Yoder as a part-time patent clerk. Kenneth sat for and passed the July 2007 Texas Bar Exam. Shortly thereafter, Kenneth joined Fletcher Yoder as an associate attorney and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. His practice focuses on a variety of electronic arts including computer hardware and software, memory devices, semiconductor fabrication and design, and medical imaging systems and devices.
