Sharon Du |
Sharon DuSharon graduated from Rice University in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. During her undergraduate education, Sharon spent a summer at Baker Hughes Inc. as an engineering intern, where she worked on projects relating to down-hole communication systems. In her senior year, she and a group of engineering students successfully designed and built a pressure sensing baseball capable of recording the position and force of a pitcher's grip during a pitch. This capstone design project went on to win several awards from NI, TI, the Rice Alliance, and the Rice ECE department. While at Rice, Sharon also served as vice president of Rice IEEE, acting as a diplomat between the electrical engineering student body, department heads, and industry sponsors. Sharon joined Fletcher Yoder in July 2011, first as a technical advisor, and then as a patent agent following her registration before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in February 2012. |
